नींबू (Lemon)

नींबू(lemon) छोटा पेड़ अथवा सघन झाड़ीदार पौधा है। इसकी शाखाएँ काँटेदार, पत्तियाँ छोटी, डंठल पतला तथा पत्तीदार होता है। फूल की कली छोटी और मामूली रंगीन या बिल्कुल सफेद होती है। प्रारूपिक नीबू गोल या अंडाकार होता है। छिलका पतला होता है, जो गूदे से भली भाँति चिपका रहता है। पकने पर यह पीले रंग का या हरापन लिए हुए होता है।
